The organic way

Both conventional and organic Investments in farms got 9 percent returns on investment in 2010. This report is according to the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. There has been a sticker surprise in the natural produce aisle. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, buyer demand for natural products has developed at a double-digit speed annually for over a decade. 0.6 percent of U.S. farmland has been licensed organic.
A new way to invest in real estate is to acquire conventional farmland and convert it to organic. Since organically raised products have elevated margins, which gives small farmers an improved shot at contending in the market.
